Hi I have read all the posts and followed all the advice and I have had my two boars together for the last 5 hours first in the run and now in the cage for 2hrs and a couple of times in the run before this. They have had the tiniest bit of teeth chattering since being in the cage but hardly audiable and been doing lots of mounting etc but do you think they'll be ok tonight? cage is a tiny bit smaller than I'd like but seem ok and will get them a bigger one if they are happy. they lie down for a bit then have a little rumbling and mounting but then lie down again. What do you think? :{

I've been worrying like you all weekend about my new boar pairing but thanks to some reassurance from Nutmeg, I feel a bit more relaxed. Apparantly the behaviour you have described is normal & shouldn't be anything to worry about xx

have they got 2 of everything? especially 2 houses/bedrooms?

I thought it was having read all the posts. One boy was paired up with another from birth then they fell out and the younger boy was with his brother who died whilst they were still in the RCPCA rescue centre. I've been waiting for him to get bigger to try and pair them. They both seem a bit lonely. thanks

They have 2 bottles, bowls etc but the house is built in but I have lifted the flap up so neither gets 'trapped' in the run they were snuggling and normally they squeak all the time at each other and are quiet.

I have a house where the pigs can be together and a smaller one for when one needs some time out. I've always been lucky pairing up boys but i thinkthey're probably ready.
Are they the same age or is there an age gap?

They have a Nero 3 each and have totally scrubbed one which they are in now and they have new vetbed etc. I give my pairs plenty of floor time and will get them a Nero 4 if they settle they have both been squeaking a lot at each other. Bullit is about a year younger

is that a baby and a year-old piggy?If so, there should be no problem. If two adults (6 months +), then it may be a little more complex.

I think if they were going to seriously kick off they would have done by now I guess they've been in the cage for 3 hours and together for 6! i bet I'll wake up in the night and check!! :-)

Ok well there are no injuries. still a bit of mounting have put their cages end to end and opened them up so they have a bit more space little bit of teeth chattering this am but they seem ok.

Sounds like it is going well and i wish you all the luck you require for a successful match up
