Both of my guinea pigs have been almost constantly scratching themselves. I’m not too sure if it’s mites or just dry skin. What should I do? Are there any products or tips anyone could please recommend?

Hi!

Please see your vet for either mites or a fungal skin infection. We can't tell you what it is but they require different treatment.
Please stay off any low dosed broad spectrum pet shop treatment that cannot cut through an acute outbreak and is just wasted money when you eventually have to see a vet with a far more entrenched issue and a weeks or months or recurring woes and suffering for you piggies.

Here is more information including your customer rights re, reclaiming vet cost if you are having newly bought pets: New guinea pigs: Sexing, vet checks&customer rights, URI, ringworm and parasites

Please accept that we are not a place that promotes home treatment on spec on the cheap. We have seen too often the heavy and sadly often deadly price your pets have to pay.
Here is information how you can ensure that you can afford vet access at any time: A guide to vets fees, insurance and payment support.
