Hi guys , this morning I went to change the puppy pads under where my hairy boy sleeps and found a large pinkish stain of urine ? Just wondering f this is a UTI or oxidised urine? If any one has any opinions or advice I'd be most greatful! I did a health check on him this morning , he's eating well ,popcoring ans now eating grass outside happy as Larry , if you guys think it's a UTI he will of course see a vet asap

Puppy pads can go a range of weird and wonderful colours. I think it's the chemicals in them. So you can't really rely on the colour of them

I'd pop him on a white towel or kitchen roll and see what colour it is when he wees again. Listen out for crying too when he pees.

I think it's just oxidising wee. I see the exact same thing when I change the puppy pads where the piggies wee the most. I remember reading that it is normal somewhere on the forum so I didn't panic when I first saw it.

It could also be something he ate (red pepper, beetroot). Keep an eye and look for any other signs. If there is enough blood in his wee to see it, I think he would be feeling pretty ropey.
