This is my first time having a guinea pig so I want to make sure everything is okay. I just got my guinea pig 5 days ago and she lays down a lot like A LOT very lazy. She eats, drinks, and acts like everything's normal. When she lays down she lay's on her stomach with her back legs stuck out to the side and I just wanted to know if any of that sounds normal.

Yup! Perfectly normal happy pig behavior. Pigs like to hide and sleep a lot. Sometimes I don't see my 3 till hay time ;) they just like sleeping in their igloos and huts. It's good to ask questions and I am glad you are enjoying your little lady!

Yes, that is normal and a good sign that she is sleeping relaxed. Guinea pigs are crepuscular, i.e. most active in the mornings and evenings; they only browse throughout the middle of the day in between sleeping.

You can find lots more information like this (from guinea pig facts) in our new owners information pack. I promise that you will find it very interesting and helpful! New Owners' " How To" Starter Kit

I only ever see my piggies at meal times, lap time and when I spot clean because they get treat hay and they know it. They come out for a bit at lunch time too to see what I'm doing in the kitchen. Pretty much whenever food is involved lol.
