We have just adopted two kittens so I need to make a lid for pudding and ginger to keep them safe. I'm half way through after searching the forum for advice and trying to follow it but I'm stuck! Their cage is 2x4 c&c . I have cables tied the lid and strengthened it with a bit of their old cage but I'm struggling to get it to stay up, at the moment its resting on some bean poles and I think it's secure enough to put the piggies back in without falling in on them but I need a proper solution fast! I've run out of cable ties so will have to go on a hunt for them and anything else I need! Any help from anyone who has built a secure lid would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Forgot to add but hopefully goes without saying that the kittens are locked out of the room until cage is secure!

hi , there, l would use some 1inch x 1.5 inch strips of wood, and secure them to the lid with cable ties

You'll need access to the c&c run so you would be best to put some lengths of wood through the top squares of the grids to give a solid base for the top to lay on top of. Then get something like strong bulldog clips to fasten the lid to the sides. These could easily be unclipped to gain access :) x
