Just need some help on my boys behaviour. I have them out every day in a pop up tent for a run. My new enclosure should be here this week. Anyway Sir David keeps mounting Columbo which I know is kinda normal. Tonight though he keeps mounting Columbo with his paws behind Columbo's ears and...I don't know how to say this delicately...but doing the humping motion. :red Columbo keeps jumping away in a kinda popcorny way. Is this normal for boys or do you think I have a problem. Think they are about 3 months old. rolleyes

It is normal... he's obviously hit the big hormones early!

But if you are worried, have a safety check here:

Girl always have a kind of "y" under their nob while boys have a straight slit with a button at the top, like a "i".

To tell them apart press gently above the opening on their rear end at the back end of the belly. For boars there should be a 'ridge' and if you press gently there little sausage will pop out (this is what my vet told me when we got two new sows (Poppy and Patch) which turned out to be a Boar and a sow, Patch was a little boy as the vet demonstrated!:red:red)

The vet called it a sausage? :(|):(|):(|)

I have found males are very easy to tell and they have huge testicles! Mine seem to anyway. There was no mistaking these as boys :p
