Today in the morning when i woke up to feed them only one of them out of my two guinea pigs came out. The other one stay in his little house it didn't come out. I was immediately alarmed since he always gets up and runs for food. Once i put the food in his face he didn't want to eat or drink water. I took him out and he still didn't want to eat veg, hay or drink water. He didn't even want to move. So I called the vet and they said they were book and tomorrow they had an opening so we took it. He's gotten more blotted ever since. So we tried to syringe feed him but he wouldn't swallow or chew it. So we were on the couch and while i was still trying he started moving but in agitated way and jump himself from the couch on onto our tile for. Immediately i reacted and picked him up but he wasn't moving so i put him on our bed and he's whimpering and leaning on to a side. What should i do to keep him alive until tomorrow and i still don't know what wrong with him.

I’m so sorry to hear this.

The guides below detail our emergency care information such as daily weight checks and urgently stepping in with syringe feeding. The last guide details dealing with bloat.

If you can get to a vet sooner than your appointment, then please do so but I know emergency vets aren’t as easy to find in the US. Good luck at the vet, let us know how things go

Good luck. I hope your piggy gets seen at the vets soon 🤞.

Aw, I’m so sorry your piggie is poorly, I hope you can keep him going until you can find an emergency vet to treat him x

Please call you vet back and explain it is an absolute emergency and ask if he can be seen today.
It sounds like he may be in pain and need treatment urgently.

Fingers very firmly crossed. Please take the time to read our support care guides.

Please let us know how you get on with the vets, sending healing vibes!
