My mum has recently offered to buy my two piggies a new cage, at the moment they just have a standard pet shop one which doesn't really give them much space for lots of toys etc. Finding one has proved to be quite troublesome. We've been looking at c&c cages from this website C and C Guinea Pig Cages | Guinea Pig Cages whilst i'd love to go ahead and buy one from there the width is too wide. My bedroom (where my piggies cage is) is quite small. We don't have any other places for them to go in the house, as my sister refuses to have them as they apparently keep her awake at night. The width for the cage is 77cm, and really I could only go to 60cm as any more would take up a lot of floor space and it would stick out awkwardly. Whilst i'd love to get the materials myself and make the c&c cage on my own i wouldn't know where to start and would probably ruin it as i'm not very good in that area. So, a c&c cage seems to be out of the question. We've looked at these two cages Ferplast Wooden Cage Cottage at zooplus ---- Ferplast Wooden Cage Cottage at zooplus but my mum refuses as shes worried they'll chew through the wood. Do you think they would actually do that or is she just being slightly paranoid? We have also looked at ones from pets at home that have two layers but I would prefer to not get one from there. Were having trouble finding one with a small enough width. Could anyone give us any recommendations? Any help will be appreciated!

I don't know if this helps but the RSPCA recommended cage size for two guineas is 120cm x 60cm x 45cm Obviously the bigger the better but I just showed you because of the width. How long can you have it?

In terms of length how long can you go?
In terms of depth you don't have to use the connectors that come with the C&C grids, but can use cable-ties to join them where you want to join them. Therefore you can overlap the grids to form the 6ocm depth, and have a long thin cage perhaps? :)
