HELP! Loki and the others were outside and now he's bleeding really bad! On his foot and mouth! PLEASE HELP ME WHAT DO I DO

Start by putting some gentle pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. Clean disposable towels would be good to use.

Once the bleeding stops you can gently examine to see if there are any clues as to what might have happened. Check your other pigs carefully too. Follow up with a vet for a check up and until you can get in with a vet keep an eye on the wounds.

Ok, pressure on any wounds. Deep breath. What is bleeding? Has a nail ripped at the quick? Pressure and cornflour should deal with that. The blood on the face could be from the foot.

Bleeding from the face? Pat it dry and try and see what you have, might need to be a trip for the vet If it’s anything more than a scratch.

If any of it won’t stop bleeding then vet.

Jenny got a massive gash in her lip last year. Needed gluing together but healed well. No idea how it happened though.

Hi!

Please try to stem the bleeding by pressing down. It should stop within 10-15 minutes.
Once stopped please try to have a look. Are they bite wounds? Is the bleeding inside the mouth or on the lips?

You can gently disinfect the wounds with homemade saline solution by boiling 1/2 pint/250 ml of water, letting it cool and then stir in 1 teaspoon of salt.

See how the piggies are together tomorrow but keep Loki on his own tonight; use the carrier if you have one, your laundry basked or a large cardboard box if you need to improvise.
If the bites are result of a fight, the two piggies involved won't ever go back again. Most deep bites happen in defence when a piggy is on edge or cornered or if the wrong signals in an altercation are exchanged.

See a vet if there are signs of infection as guinea pig mouths are usually full of gunk.

All the piggies are now inside. The bleeding on Loki has slowed down and he's now resting. He has a gash on the side of his foot, and he was bleeding somewhere close to his mouth. There is dried blood on his mouth. I can't tell what kind of wound it is due to the dried blood.

This is him right now. Idk if this resting is a good sign or a bad sign.

Keep an eye on him; he will be very upset/shocked by whatever has happened. His reaction is normal.
When you can, please gently disinfect the wounds with a bit of soft tissue dunked into the saline (see my first post) once the bleeding has stopped.

All the best.

PS: If there has been a fight, the body language (tension/stiff bodies, teeth chattering etc) will often tell you that there is some serious grudge around.
