Currently in the process of introductions, its seems successful. They are licking each others cheeks (both face and bottoms 😆). Is this a sign of affection? Or dominance? Or both? Jeez i never thought my piggies were so complicated lol! I love it!

Hi!

It is a sign of affection. You may want to have a look through this guide, as it contains lots of key social interactive behaviours: Bonding and Interaction: Illustrated social behaviours and bonding dynamics

Absolutely and thank you! Very useful guide, i appreciate it! I also enjoy listening the benefits of individual experience as well, i love listening to the different perspectives/tactics my fellow piggie lovers use to make their world a better place 😃 The older one (Figgy) seems to be calming down with the mounting. He was getting creepy 😆 jk! i love my figster lol!

Thank you for your feedback!

Mutual kissing is very much a reaffirmation of their bond and their commitment of wanting to be best friends, beyond any hormonal urges. It is typical behaviour for the 'morning after'. You see the same with sow or mixed pairs after a very strong season, too.

Feel blessed!
