Hi, I'm quite new to the world of guinea pigs, got my first piggies last week. At the moment they are in a hutch outside but I want to bring them inside soon. I was looking at this cage

[ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ferplast-Rabbit-Cage-Hayrack-140x71x48cm/dp/B001MZUYN0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316955740&sr=8-1[/ame]

is that a suitable size for 3 pigs (2 girls and a neutered boy)?

If not could you recommend me one please :)

Hi there, yes I have the same one for my 3, although I also have an indoor run and an extended outdoor run to prevent boredom and promote exercise. Plenty of lap time and extra floor time is always a must though. This is really just big enough but could honestly do with being bigger but you could always extend upwards by building another layer within the cage anyway.

Was just going to say if you buy a pack of grids from Screwfix (£27 a pack) & some coroplast/correx for the bottom you can make a huge cage for less :)

This is mine, & although it took a whole day because I made a fiddly shape to fit the space I had, it's for 3 pigs, it's plenty big enough :))

One pack will make a maximum 6 x 2 C & C cage without a bottom, if you wanted to have a base or lid you'd need two packs. A 5 x 2 is the minimum they'd need.

Have a look at this site I used it for reference:
