Hi all

I am trying out carefresh for the first time but I put it in 10 minutes ago and have already heard several sneezes plus one of them looks like she is trying to eat it, has anyone had problems like this before?!

Also, it doesn't go far does it?! I bought a small pack and there wasn't enough!

Cheers
Alex

Panic over, no more sneezes and they have realised it is not edible! They seem to smell fresher than with shavings so maybe I like Carefresh after all :)

megazorb and aubiose are most cost efficient! never used carefresh myself though

I hate carefresh it's so expensive and doesn't go far, I swear by Fleece, have you tried it?

Might I add I have no real reason to dislike carefresh just find it expensive and doesn't go far! ")

I have just switched from Aubiose which I quite liked, as I thought Carefresh sounded better. It does seem pricey and doesn't seem to go far though I agree.

Keep wondering about fleece but not sure about the daily poopicking, also concerned about smells.. Am thinking of setting up an indoor run/playroom for them and may try fleece in there and see how I get on.

Cheers
Alex

I must say Fleece doesn't really smell, I wash mine every 4 days, It is very cost effective and I think he likes it on his feet!

Thanks Joanne, can I ask what you use under the fleece? Can I use newspaper? Do you pick poo and hay every day?

Cheers
Alex

Megazorb is a good alternative to Carefresh, in that it is similar but works out cheaper.

I use fleece and I'm picking poos and soiled hay off several times a day. Having said that, I would do a daily spot clean with Megazorb or Carefresh also.

At present I only have one boar, he's not very messy... I have vinyl under the fleece and a towel inbetween Vinyl and fleece, I got an off cut from a carpet shop! Before when I had 2 I did pick poo everyday and hay but it's not very time consuming. Hoping to jump to 3 so we shall see how that goes!

Before that I did use newspaper then a towel then fleece.. :)! I have litter trays for the hay and my Fred sits in it well he eats thankfully! :))
