I have 3 pigs now 2 girls and 1 boy. My boy recently lost his mate and keeps squeaking for him I'm aware from now on ill need to get him out everyday to avoid him getting depressed. I'm wondering if it would be a smart idea to let him socialise with the girls now and again to avoid him getting to upset at these points he will be watched as i dont want any babies but i dont want this to stress him out as hell have to return back to his cage alone just asking for advicd on the best way around this

Either you can decide to neuter him and wait a full 6 weeks post operation and then he can go in with your girls, or you could look at finding him a male companion of his own. If you use the rescue locator at the top of the page it can show you where your nearest rescue is. Not all rescues offer boar bonding sessions but if you contact the rescue they will tell you whether they can help you.

How about getting him neutered so after the 6 weeks safety net he could live permanently with the girls? Or perhaps take him boar dating to find a new friend?

Weve only very recntly lost his companion and arent really ready to commit to another as it was such a horrible situation, hes coming up to about 4 now so is neutering him not a bit late?
