Hi I have an urgent issue! I set up my new C&C cage today for my skinny pigs and my smallest one has jumped out twice within the past hour! I was told piggies don’t jump high and the cage would be safe, what should I do until the cover I ordered comes in?

I really don't know, Sorry😟 You could put a sheet over the cage and peg it on, but you should only really do that at night time. Sorry I am not very helpful😟😟

Guinea pigs can jump about a foot high. Grids are often usually a little over foot high, a but some athletic piggies can just manage to get over. They can also get out if they climb on top of any items in the cage that are close to the edge. It can be advisable to make your cage two grids high rather than just one.
You mention this is a new cage, Do you perhaps still have their old cage that you could put them back into until you can get a lid, or more grids to make the sides high? Alternatively you are going to need to cover the top with something, such as a sheet as suggested above but you don’t want to be blocking all their light out
