Here is where I get my bases from. They sell the grids too, I’m not sure if it is more expensive or not. I actually got a huge stack of grids and connectors and a yard sale for $2!
 
I use waterproof mattress protector between two pieces of fleece for the boys cage liners. I’ve seen some where people have used towels. Zorb is also a good one - expensive but worth it. And uhaul. If you check YouTube there are several videos on how to make a cage liner
 
I am in the United States too. I get my coroplast from home Depot. 22 bucks for a 4 ft. by 8 ft sheet. They have smaller ones too. So easy to make the base! Hope this helps!
