You need to ensure the grids have nine squares, not eight (eight square grids arent safe and Piggies may be able to get stuck in them). Depending on how they are, then you may also need to temporarily block up the holes with cardboard on the outside (for example) so they cant slip through them and escape while they are small.
For five sows, you need a cage measuring 2 grids by 7 grids to ensure they have enough space
