This may be a loonnnggg shot its just Heidi seems a little...strange maybe shes just being a normal eccentric piggy but I was wondering what the signs of iNbreeding are? She twiches alot and then kinda lops to one side then gets back up...you know just weird things like that? And when she lies down one leg seems to lie pretty limp even tho she can walk on it etc..It may v well be just normal piggy behaviour Toby sort of acts like this but not as bad..does that make sense? I dunno maybe I'm being paranoid but still rather safe than sorry.

Popcorning - i.e. when pigs jump vertically into the air, they twitch their head from side to side and run around is a sign of happiness and is normal especially in young piggies.

I have to say that I am not familiar with the lying down and a leg going limp. I wonder if any other members know more than me?

However, if you are at all concerned then please don't hesitate to contact a vet to get things checked.

hehe, popcorning, its funny. Chewie does the same, only he's worse, he's defo not inbred as I got him from a breeder who knows his lineage. He will run around the cage in a circle over and over again squeaking, he popcorns like mad, and squeals louder than Spike at dinner time, which means very loud. So I think your Heidi is just an eccentric little piggie.

With the limp leg thing, I'm not sure what you mean, but sometimes my boys like to sleep sorta on their sides, with one of their feet sticking out, a couple of times I've walked in and been like omg he's dead, because Spike sleeps on his side, dead still with his eyes really really wide open, the only way I know he's alive is his breathing. Unless they're sleeping on their sides, I generally don't see their legs when they're lying down or asleep.

with the legs, my pigs are like that on an hourlyu basis when they like to lay out and sleep, i dont think you need to worry about anything.

If you are really worried take them to the vet...:) But it would be wiser to just keep an eye on them...If something bad happens like they start having fits or something, take them to vet but if not, I don't really think there's a problem...

Thanks guys it's just apart from Toby I've never owned another piggy and he's normally quite grumpy and hardly ever popcorns lol so phew that's a load off
