Hi just thought i would pick your brains and get some valid opinions?
I recently got asked if i could make a mini hutch about 15' long with a ply lid that could be screwed down and door that could not open?
So i said ok.
The reason behind this tiny little hutch was so the families pet rabbit that was about to pass away at anytime could be buried in it.
so i thought i may start a line of these but i would varnish them all and line the inside with some satin like fabric with a padded cushion in the centre.

I'm fully aware it is not a nice subject to discuss but wanted all your expert opinions to see if there would be interest in this at all.

I will call them "Heavenly hutches"
Please see the image of the little hutch i made and bare in mind all future ones will be lined and varnished.
Thank you

I think its a nice idea. I know its not something people really want to think about but its nice to have options when the time comes rather than just an old shoe box. what about even smaller ones for those that choose to cremate?

I think that's a wonderful idea. That hutch is beautiful. A very emotive subject but something that everyone will have to go through at some point.

A quick coat of varnish, I think they should come out lovely, Will update when the inside has been completed

It is a lovely idea certainly, made me cry. If I did have somewhere to bury my pets when they had passed on I would use one.

Oh how they have changed from the first one i made.

They are almost ready now.

The colours will be:
Red Mahogany
English Oak
Golden Pine
Plain wood (comes complete with a 12 pack of mini Acrylic paints, 3 coloured different size brushes and a mixing tray so you can decorate it how you like)

There is also a piece of thick A4 rolled up paper tied with Gold ribbon. On one side it is lined so you can write a message to your pet and on the other side is the Rainbow Bridge poem.
There is also a postcard inside explaining how to bury your pet correctly and website details so you can search for your local pet cemetery should you not be able to bury where you live.

www.heavenlyhutches.com has a holding page up as we have almost completed the website.
We are still getting the lining correct and all Heavenly Hutches will come with a made in Great Britain and Hutch man hologram sticker.
Hope you like the way they are looking so far?

I can see that your craftsmanship is excellent. They look very well made. I can also see that they would give comfort to people.
Though I do now feel guilty about the shoe boxes and blankets that I buried my previous piggies in now!

I think it is a very good idea. What prices will you sell them for? I think they will bring comfort to pet owners who want to do the final, respectful thing for their petx

And that is a very respectful price that I'm sure people won't mind paying. Well done.

Ive also focused on the packaging too as I've had all the cardboard boxes specially made to fit them perfectly.
They will be bubble wrapped which is held in place with a large Heavenly Hutch Gold logo sticker, they also have the large sticker on the front of the box, along with a fragile and a small sticker stating whats in the box.
This one is Plain/Paint e.g. Plain Heavenly Hutch with the set of 10 Acrylic paints, 3 brushes and a mixing tray.

Forgot to say that I'm in a photographic studio next week having all the final images carried out ready for the printing for the little information cards and the website images. Its taken a little time but i want it all 100% .
We have finalised the inside lining now and are still producing these little Heavenly Hutches everyday.
I want a delightful well presented little product that is affordable to everybody.
