Heat pads

Hi all,

Just a quick question: when you heat up heatpads, is it ok to heat two or more together at the same time? I think the instructions say not to but I can't work out why. I've been doing them separately, but I'm wondering whether they could go in on top of one another. If you do/can, then how much do you increase the time by?
