Very sad news from TEAS this morning! Little Polar passed away over night! Unfortunately, she hadn’t responded to the treatment, and it would seem the fluid around her heart had continued to increase! I’m just so sad that we were able to get her teeth sorted so that she could enjoy all her favourite foods, only for her life to be cut short by something else! I take comfort in the fact that she had a few days of normal eating, as that is such a huge part of normal guinea pig life!
Huge thanks to Neville’s Nest - Guinea Pig Rescue, for entrusting us in the care of Polar and to Simon at The Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic. I feel that between us, we gave this special girl the very best chance. Sadly it wasn't meant to be!

Sometimes whatever we do, it's not enough and the call of the Rainbow Bridge is just too strong. Polar had a few days of normal bimbly piggie life. As you know, piggies live life for today and you gave her a few happy piggy todays. Sleep well lovely Polar and enjoy the Rainbow Bridge.
 
I’m so sorry to hear that Polar has had the call to the rainbow bridge. Sometimes no matter how hard we try it’s just not enough. Take care ❤️
 
I am so very sorry that Polar has not been able to enjoy being able to eat for longer.
 
I am so sorry Polar didn't get longer to enjoy the good life TEAS and Simon would have given her.

I am so sad to read this, I have been following her story and hoping she would be able to enjoy a good life with your help. She will be out of pain now and enjoying piggie life with friends at the bridge.

Oh dear, how very sad. At least she was loved and cared for and as you said, had a few days of munching on her favourite snacks.
RIP little Polar, over the Rainbow Bridge. Munching away on all her favourite foods ❤️🌈

So sorry for your loss. I just lost one of my foster piggies to I assume a uti although his breathing changed so quickly I really don’t know. Piggies really break our hearts at times
