Are the toes somehow fused or is something up with the nails? The picture isn’t very clear.

no they are not fused. a nail looks purple. I thought it was dirty but the meat around the nail also looks weird.

I can’t see anything clearly in the picture.
Can you try to take a better picture?

It may just be a darker nail?
Might you also be seeing the quick?

Otherwise we only advise you see a vet for any concern

closer. I can't focus it but you can see a little bit darkness around the nail.

It’s too out of focus to see anything.
Can you get somebody to help you take the picture and try taking it with your hand behind the foot to see if it focuses any better.

Can you also clarify which nail is causing you the worry

Hi

At a guess, it looks like your piggy may have stubbed or torn a nail and the quick may have bled? There isn't anything you can do; it will heal and grow out on its own. Unfortunately, the blur prevents making a more educated guess.

Is it maybe just dirt under his nail? Or guinea pigs can also have black nails, but I have a piggy who has a sort of transparent blackish nail, like an in between of the two.
