Well today I finallly had a day off from everything so I thought I would spend time with my guineas just sitting with them and giving them cuddles from time to time, I have noticed that when Rolo eats his dry food he tilts his head quite considerably to the left. but when he eats his hay/walks round/ drinks, he doesnt tilt his head at all, only when he eats his muesli. Could there be a reason for this or should I take him for a trip to the vet ? :S He seems very much himself otherwise, I have just never noticed this before, though I dont get much time to sit and observe them ...

Head tilts can be caused by a variety of things. As it is when your piggy is eating I would guess something dental or an ear infection, but I am by no means an expert. Either way you should pop to the vets even if it is just for peace of mind.

Sounds teethy....

Might have a splinter poking him, best to get them checked x

Best have him checked for ear infection or teeth. Hopefully, it was a false alarm and the tilt will disappear on its own!

Potential ear infections should never be taken lightly; they can kill if not treated promptly.

Thank you guys i am trying to find a vet ... Which vet near the newport, south wales area would be best to take him to? I need one relatively close because i do not own a čar :S x

And if it is an ear infection would there be a way for me to tell? Apart from the head tilting ? He isnt showing any other symptons and aš i say he only tilts his head when he is eating his dry food? He doesnt have a tilt at all when he eats his hay or walks around
