Hi my guinea pig keeps bobbing his head just randomly

Its not when we are near him or stroking him

Any help would be appreciated

He doesn't seem to have any stuck in him mouth, he has been biting more but we thought that may just be because we keep picking him up to fix it

Thank you

I dont think so

I'm not hearing anything or seeing anything like that

As there seems nothing stuck in the mouth (is he still munching on hay normally?), I would just keep an eye on him, but not panic. Hopefully, the bobbing has disappeared by tomorrow.

See a vet only if there is an unexpected sudden deterioration.

Yeah he's been eating fine

The bobbing is normal (Like when he's walking ive noticed for a few weeks), but its happening more often

I just dont want to be thinking the worst if its not :(

Thank you for your help, ive been so worried

Head bobbing can be caused by heavy breathing, or erratic breathing, caused by heart problems. What's his breathing like? Is it more laboured than normal? Have you compared his breathing to any of his companions? How old is he?

His breathing is normal, no different than before

He's 7 months old

He's been licking his foot more, and eating more of his mineral fruits, could that be the problem?

Ive taken those away, and tried to keep him from licking his feet

What do you mean by bobbing? Is he shaking his head? Or tilting it to one side? Is he grooming himself more than normal? This could explain the foot licking. If so please have him checked by a vet for an ear infection.

Is he almost "nodding" when sitting still? Like his head and body rocks back forth? This is to do with breathing and would also warrant a vet visit to rule out a chest infection.

Other than that or hiccups, I can't really picture what you are meaning I'm afraid X
