He still won't let me pick him up :(

I have tried everything to pick my guinea pig up, but he still won't let me... I got him in June this year and he was fine with me picking him up, he would squeak a bit but then he'd be okay, after about 1 month until now he won't let me pick him up I've tried wrapping him into a towel, feeding him treats to get him to come to me, stroking him, talking to him, but then i go to pick him up and he shakes and jumps about.. i don't know what to do..?

I would only treat him once you've caught him and got him in your lap. I grab a towel and corner mine. I make it quick and if they jump or squeal don't stop or move away - just go in with confidence and quickly scoop them up and straight to your chest. They're just wimps - it won't hurt them. Then treat them when youve got them so they learn being out of their cage means treats.
