I'm going to build a hayloft for my girls but i dont no how :s

Theyve got a 4x3 cage atm.

Help please :) x xx

hi do you have a c&c cage? or a shop bought one?

its a c&c cage.
They look easy enough to make but just not sure about the ramp.
Also do you line the hayloft with correx as well?

Thanks :)

i've had a hayloft and i had a ramp but only 1 of my piggys ever went up there. so i added it instead to the end of the cage no ramp needed. i have used correx as a base, i also used the mesh grids as the hay tends to stay in better.

this is how it was its now bigger. i shall upload picture tonight if you want :)

I have a 4 x 3 with a hayloft. The ramp is attached with cable ties and the whole thing lined with correx. I've used 3 overlapped grids for my ramp but I've also seen them with 2 grids not overlapped. :)

Thanks for the photos flips :)

Ive nearly finished but i dont think I'm going to have enough correx for the ramp. Can anything else be used?

What type of grids do you have? If you have the mesh ones Flips shows in her photo I don't think you really need correx. Just line the ramp with vetbed or carpet tiles, fleece can also be used but may give less traction depending on the fleece and how steep the ramp is. If you have the "grid-grids" you can just put down cardboard, it will probably have to be changed, but it's not had to get hold of or expensive so not a big problem!

here you go sorry for the delay

this is how i first had it but only one of my piglet's used the ramp.

then i moved it so it was on the ground but no pic sorry.

then i re-arranged the pen and put it in the middle

then i got fed up of that and now it is at the end again but bigger

the normal grid has been taken out so they can get in and out was just there whilst making the hayloft.

hope this helps.
