I am thinking of switching to Haybox but finding it difficult to imagine the size and storage implications of their boxes. I have 2 piggies, what size should I order? Also is it vacuumed to take up less space? Looking at the website I think perhaps it’s not...?
Any advice would be fantastic.
Thank you.

No it’s not vacuum. But it is fantastic hay, and the boxes are completely stuffed full of hay. I absolutely love it and so do my piggies!
I buy 15kg of meadow hay and 5kg of Timothy hay every four weeks. So this comes as three 5kg boxes of meadow hay and one box of Timothy. I have two piggies who live in a two storey hutch and a rabbit in single level hutch, so I do go through quite a lot of hay
One box is roughly the size of, when compared to c&c grids, a 2x2. So it is quite large (I don’t have the actual box measurements at present but I can get them later). I stack all four boxes on top of each other to minimise the space it takes up but all four boxes stacked stand about 5ft high.

One box is 62cm long, 45cm deep and 40cm high.

Haybox is amazing quality - I overshot how big the box would be and had to put them in the garage  my two boys were over the moon with it

I've just had two boxes arrive today much bigger than I imagined and we have no where to store them. The Timothy is very hard and
has very thick stalks, not at all like the lovely hay in @Piggies&buns picture. To add insult to injury the piggies have turned their noses up at it. I've .cancelled my subscription, I'm so disappointed with this hay, not what I expected, maybe I ordered the wrong type?

Oh dear, everyone else seems to rave about it and it does look to be lovely quality in other people’s photos. That’s a real shame. I am tempted to give it a try, anything has to be better than the pets at home meadow hay which I don’t think is great at all.

I know, this is why I went for it. I usually buy Nature's Own meadow hay in bulk on line and it's pretty good, the last batch I had was very yellow so I thought I would give somewhere else a try. The trouble with hay is it's so reliant on weather, this is not a good time of year to be buying it, especially as last year had bad weather for growing grass.

Oh dear! The Haybox timothy is quite coarse and took my piggies a while to get used to but now they love it and I like Puggle's tummy and Blodwen's teeth to get some good coarse fibre like that. Did you order any meadow too? The Haybox meadow is usually excellent and is nice long soft green stalks, we ran out of Haybox meadow today and I had to resort to Pillow Wad meadow until my next boxes come on Friday and my piggies were not happy!
I'll report back anyway if my next delivery isnt up to standard... maybe you could donate it to a rescue if you bought loads and the piggies dont like it?

Yes I find the Timothy to be coarse, certainly coarser than the pet shop Timothy that I have had previously, but my piggies prefer it. I ran out of haybox timothy three days before my last delivery and had to use pet shop Timothy (still lovely and green but softer). My pigs did not like it one bit and barely touched it but as soon as I put the haybox Timothy back in, their rack was empty within two hours. my last haybox delivery was Friday just gone.

Mine usually like it coarse, they love the Burgess one. They may get used to it, they won't be getting anything else! This has got mostly very thick stems (green bean thickness), it's not very green either. We don't have any piggie rescues round here but there is a rabbit rescue, I'd say this hay is better for rabbits anyway. Have managed to get the unopened box on top of the wardrobe so will hang on for a few days and see if they decide they like it.
