Shorefields hay
I'm in a dilemma .the first bale of this we bought online was great and my piggies and bunnies loved it.this new bale not so.its a totally different texture ,much more dusty and at the same time almost feels damp.
I don't want to make my friends sick .how do I know if this hay is off or if they are being fussy

If it smells musty and especially if it’s damp don’t use - ask for a refund

Hay should smell sweet - that is the best way to know. They themselves are the test though - if they won’t eat it then it likely doesn’t taste nice.

If it is damp then there is a risk of mould and they should not eat it
