Hay up his nose?

ive just found Lincoln blowing out his nose. so hard that his jumping in the air. i picked him up to see what was wrong and there looked like tiny bits of hay in his nose. i tried getting them out but couldnt so took him upstairs to my OH so he could hold him while i did it. Now ive looked theres non there but Lincoln is still going mad and there runny snot all down his nose and his blowing it everywhere. What can i do to help him? his getting frustrated?

I'm confused..he has mucous in his nose and he's breathing heavily? Those are both signs of an URI and you should take him to the vet as early treatment is vital.

no his not breathing heavy at all. His just blowing out his nose to get hay out thats irrataing him thats al. i just wanted advice on what to do to help

Oh I see, I'd say leave alone. He will eventually sneeze if his nose is irritated and the hay will be expelled. I'd be loathe to mess because it might go further up and worsen it.

I used to worry about Dave...he has a bad habit of lying under the hay rack (when it's only hanging on with one hook after they've demolished it!) and he quite often does the same. As long as his breathing is normal, I'd just put it down to a sneezing fit!
