Looking for input on solutions for hay trays. Both my boys love to go in the corners next to their hay bags, so to save me a bit of cash wanted to put in haytrays (fleece is only ever saturated in these corners) but I can only find the retail pig litter trays, and I'm sure there must be cheaper solutions.

Thanks in advance!

I have some from the pound shop, or if they are out of stock, the range has some, I think for about £2.50.
We have also got double of them in cash they got to soiled. They are about 3/4 of a grid wide & 1 grid long.

Thanks guys, managed to find some kitten (I guess?) Litter trays at our local independent per store. I don't normally go there as the old owner kept the for sale pets in awful conditions but thought I'd chance it today. Ownership must have changed as much better! Hopefully now my boys won't be saturating fleece after just a day

i use cat litter trays... cheap and plastic but always come up clean !

I used to use a Poundland cat litter tray, but now I have two of the small animal ones.

One was from a local pet shop for £3.50 (medium) and the other is a Rosewood medium from Amazon or Viovet.

I've always wanted to try a hay kitchen like that @Roclibrarian , but I've always worried that it might cause squabbles or fights as my pigs are bonded, but not snuggle buddies. Have you had any tiffs?

Mine don't snuggle either. It's big enough that they can both fit in it without squabbles. There can be a bit of squabbling when one of them is in season, then they won't let the other one in! They have learnt to be patient in this case and just wait their turn to use it.
They both queue up to get in when I'm cleaning it out....Have to shoo them away till I'm done lol

I have a 32 litre underbed storage box. I cut one of the long sides down (hot knife and sandpaper) so its like a rectangular dog bed. Works a treat. Lined with newspaper and hemparade bedding from zooplus (14kg for £15.99).

I have two poundland kitty trays (pound each) and two small plastic dog beds for future layouts.

Have you found your piggies push it out of their preferred poo corner? Ours do lol so trying out ways to get it to stay put, thinking cable ties to the cage? Thoughts?

I put a brick next to the tray which holds it in place as it is smaller than 70cm (width of cage). Seems to hold it nice and securely. I am hoping that the brick may keep nails down as it is under the water bottle.

I just used some duct tape hidden on the sides, so far they've not moved it! Fingers crossed!

The poundland have some stackable brightly coloured trays at the moment which are great for hay trays.
