Ive always had my indoor piggies on puppy pads with hay on top.Unfortunately Ive developed a hay allergy so I'm trying to find suitable tried and tested free standing hay racks with good access to hay.I bought some hay racks from Living World which I'm not really happy with as the piggies seem to largely ignore them.I also bought a free standing hay rack from PaH but it was so badly made I couldn't put it together.
Suggestions would be great.I need to get free standing ones as they are in Manor Pet wooden cages with no bars for hanging.I'm looking for ones which freely give out hay but are as enclosed as possible. With a lid preferably.
Thanks

I wonder if something like this would be a workable compromise for you, the piggies still get to burrrow, sleep and play in hay but it's not open completely to the air. I've never got on with hay racks in any of my cages, I do use open trays in some cages but these cheap travel boxes with the doors off in the area closest to my OH's chair as he has an allergy to some hay's, we find timothy is the worst.

Sorry to wake you Spike!

That's given me a good idea!I have one of those covered cat litter trays (never used!)which I could take the door off and make access really easy for them. They can have a good old root around in a big pile of hay in there!Thankyou for this:tu:
