Hello I have only had my 2 piggies since March so I'm still trying to find out what's best for my piggies, so I was wondering if anyone has this type of hay rack. Any comments or concerns welcomed.

It’s not one I’ve ever seen before. What size are those holes? You don’t want something they can stuck in.

To be honest, hayracks aren’t needed. Big loose piles of hay directly on the cage floor can provide a lot of benefit to piggies. It enables them to get right inside them, sleep in hay, play in it and be able forage through much more freely.

Honestly all 8 of my pigs love a pile of hay to sleep/eat/play in so you can always try that.

What is it made out of? Is it like seagrass? If so it probably won't last long. My main worry would be if they chewed a hole in it and potentially got their head stuck if you're not there.

I've also used hay bags in the past but my pigs always get in them and use them like a hammock so now I just use them for really pokey hay or in the hospital cage after ops.

I don’t use hay racks, just big piles of hay that’s needed, they dive, hide, tunnel, eat, pee, poop, drag hay around on heads, so funny.

Absolutely agree with the others. Having poop in it will not bother them in the slightest.
As long as you remove wet hay every say, it’s fine
