In my baby pig Ruffle's temporary cage I have set up one of those hay racks that hangs on the side of the cage. Earlier this evening, he climbed into it! I'm not used to havng a pig athletic enough to do that lol!

My daughter wanted to get him out but I left him for a couple of minutes and sure enough he figured out how to get back out eventually

Should I remove the hayrack? Or is it ok to leave it now I know he can get back out?

I wouldn't think it would be a huge problem unless there are bits he could trap his feet in.

Could you hang it on the outside so he pulls the hay through the bars into the cage?

I would take it out. If he gets frightened when he is in it he may not climb out of it safely and hurt him self in the hurry. See if you can make it safe by closing it somehow so that he can't get in, with extra wire or so, otherwise get one that attaches to the outside.
