Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone,
One of my guinea pigs Twiglet had a hay poke yesterday. I was able to get the piece out of his eye and took him to the vets for treatment and received drops and metacam. Twiglets eye already looks so much better and I struggle to tell the difference between the good and bad eye.
today I noticed that another one of my pigs, Pickle also has a hay poke which seems worse than Twiglets. I managed to remove the hay seed from the eye and have another appointment with the vets this evening
. I really don’t understand how this has happened. I am hoping the vets will let me use the same drops as prescribed yesterday as it was a very expensive vet trip. Pickle is a lot worse than Twiglet as he is holding his eye closed and has lots of discharge from the eye. Overall a horrible couple of days.
