My little hay monster has hay poke. I managed to remove the hay and bathe his eye with sterile tepid water. It’s off to the emergency vets this morning. I’ve told Benny that if he does it again he must do it Monday-Saturday when my vets is open. 🤪. Caught it quick tho as he was fine at 1am and it was noted at 5:30am. Hopefully all will be well

Oh dear. Well done for catching it so quickly. I hope he makes a quick recovery. Let us know how you get on at the vet

Many thanks I will keep you posted. I have no problem taking my boys to the vets but this is my 4th visit (3 with Frankie) . My piggies always seem to get sick out of hours and I hate getting cabs during the pandemic. Has to be done tho !

Thanks folks. Back from the vets. Benny has a small scratch on his eye. No puncture fortunately so really glad I caught it early Got eye drops and Metacam. Hopefully all will be well 😁
