I think Luna has hay poke...again.
Is there a chance it will get better on its own? If not I'll go to the vets tomorrow evening.20200604_181723.webp
It's up the top and you have to zoom in.
It's a little red bump.

Don't wait around with eyes. It's always a good idea to visit the vet if you suspect haypoke. Meg has a very deep ulcer from haypoke 2 and a half weeks ago which I am still treating with 3 different types of eye drops 8 times a day!

Can you see what I'm talking about though? I'm going to the vets tomorrow.

Yes, but only hands on exam will do. Hope it’s a very mild case.

I got her in tomorrow as they were fully booked today. She's blinking loads, but nothing else. No discharge or discolouration, just that bump at the top.

Hi everyone - I'm not seeing any signs of hay poke here. I want to learn so I can check this properly for my girls. Where is the poke spot at?

It’s not easy to see a haypoke without a proper vet check.
They use a dye to highlight the poke and any ulceration.
The signs we spot tend to be watering eyes and an eye that’s partly closed - at least that’s how I spot the possibility of a haypoke.

Sometimes the eye has a bluey film over the top of it too.

It's up the top in the picture. I'm not sure what it is, but there is a red spot you can see in the picture. Before she had cloudiness and discharge. This time she has this spot and is blinking a lot.

You’ll have to wait for a vet to check. We really can’t take a guess, and we’re certainly not qualified to either.

Hi. It wasn't hay poke. It's an inflammatory condition. I have eye drops.
She's not going to like me.

Well done for getting it seen by the vet. Good luck with the eye drops. Has the vet demonstrated the best technique for putting them in?

No, I had to sit in the car park while he looked at her. I have done it before though.
