Can you see what I'm talking about though? I'm going to the vets tomorrow.Don't wait around with eyes. It's always a good idea to visit the vet if you suspect haypoke. Meg has a very deep ulcer from haypoke 2 and a half weeks ago which I am still treating with 3 different types of eye drops 8 times a day!
Sometimes the eye has a bluey film over the top of it too. It’s not easy to see a haypoke without a proper vet check.
They use a dye to highlight the poke and any ulceration.
The signs we spot tend to be watering eyes and an eye that’s partly closed - at least that’s how I spot the possibility of a haypoke.
It's up the top in the picture. I'm not sure what it is, but there is a red spot you can see in the picture. Before she had cloudiness and discharge. This time she has this spot and is blinking a lot.Hi everyone - I'm not seeing any signs of hay poke here. I want to learn so I can check this properly for my girls. Where is the poke spot at?
No, I had to sit in the car park while he looked at her. I have done it before though.Well done for getting it seen by the vet. Good luck with the eye drops. Has the vet demonstrated the best technique for putting them in?
