Hay is getting all over the bedding!

I have a hay rack attached to a commercial cage and hay is getting all over the floor of the cage! By the end of the week there's a thick pile of hay, stinking up the whole room. I think this is partly because my piggy is choosy about what hay he will eat and just throws the "rejects" away. rolleyes Do you think there's anything that could ameliorate this situation? Buying a new hay rack that would spill less would be okay too.

Have you tried putting a tray (i use those black garden seed trays: http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/mini-g...D5ckTwx4gGk9NGxRQ2HoBcTxJmxJa8Ar IS49VztZhg== very cheap 87p) in the cage?

Any hay thats falls of the hay rack will land in the tray making it easier to clean

i already have a litter bin for him so I'll use that. Thanks for the idea! He's too lazy to ever use the darn thing so It wouldn't be wasting it to move it under the hay.
