I am fully aware of the cage requirement for my two guinea pigs and they have a 120 indoor cage aswell as a 4ft hutch and a 5ft run. Now the weather is getting better they are spending more and more time outdoors. The trouble is I have no where to store the 120 cage. I was wondering if I could downsize to a 100 as they don't seem to do much running and I've hardly ever seen them pop corning around the indoor cage and now I have the run in winter I intend to keep them in this in the kitchen, and the cage just for sleeping.

I personally wouldn't want to take away that space from them, as a smaller and more cramped space can cause fighting.
If you were going to have a run in the kitchen would the cage be in the run ? this could work well and give them more than enough space and they can chose where to sleep etc.

That's what I would ideally love but now the cat is back, Id love to build a huge C and C cage across my breakfast bar but no way now. Its only and idea as I have no storage. I am now thinking about having a large shed built maybe. They just don't seem to utilise this 120 cage they have previously been kept before me in a 80 with no hidey and never had hay. If these where babies then I would definitely have no choice as to the cage being 120.
