Hi all, I haven’t seen my piggie drinking from the bottle in a few days but he’s happy, playing and eating. Does he need the vets?

Do you see your guinea pig eating? If not then they probably eat and drink when you are not looking. If you do see him eating, he may not be thirsty. You could try to put a little water dish out to see if he will drink. He may not know how to use a water bottle! If it would relax you, I would take him to the vet.

Often piggies get water from there fresh veg, so you don’t always see them at the bottle. If they are eating and acting fine then that would indicate no issues

He’s eating and playing just fine, he chews on the water bottle when he does drink but eventually gets the water out

That sounds normal.
Mine can sound as if they’re wrestling the water bottle sometimes, other times they don’t bother, especially if they’ve had cucumber.
However- a vet trip is always a good idea if you are worried
