Have ordered a new tv!

Am all excited as ordered a new tv for my room tonight. My old one has broken - the panel has gone so can hardly watch it. My new one will arrive within 2 weeks.

Gone for Panasonic as got their dvd recorder and camera and those are very good, went to the local dealership and got £170 off the price and a free 5 year warranty.

It's a cool colour - called purple but is more magenta - looks grey/black in a lot of lights - its very posh for me has an ipod docking station!

Just need to find somewhere to recycle the old tv now as hate putting it in landfill but its all broken and too expensive to repair.

Have you thought about putting the old tv on Freecycle?

Thats an idea:) don't think anyone would want a broken tv but you never know - the spares for it cost more than a new tv i'm told. Might ask my friend to freecycle it as she is in a lot more (and on freecycle) than me and don't really want people turning up here to look at it.

Be so nice to have a new tv:)

Sometimes people will take them for spare parts etc.
Believe it or not I once had a broken sony Camera and I sold it for £30 lol. Here is freecycle though if you want to give it away.

We got a new telly on Sunday too Alison but ours is not as nice and flashy lol. Got it from Sainsburys but is wonderful to finally have widescreen, we were missing so much. We need to get rid of our old one too but is in perfect working order. Will put a sign up in our block of flats first I think.
