the other day when i went up to our piggies hutch, drizzle stood and looked at me and was moving his lips like he was trying to talk to me or something, but was it chattering? and then yesterday when i stroked punkys head whilst my partner was holding him, he was sort of butting my hand and lifting it up, does this mean get off me? ive had them two weeks, the little darlings!hehe:(|):(|)

They feel confident now to communicate with you now - even if it is to say "I don't like this or that!" Take it as a good sign! They trust you!

Usually Pip does it to me when he's eating if I stroke him. He's basically saying 'Get off! I'm trying to eat here!' :(|). So I just leave him be. And my guineapigs chatter and grind their teeth when I am getting their veggies ready for their dessert. They know when it's veggie time :(|)

One of mine does it all the time - seriously she does it when no one is about. It's quite funny! (teeth chattering).

They ALL do the "GET OFF!" when I am stroking their noses so stopped that now. They seem to like chin scratching and behind ear scratching better.

thanks people, i am a bit hurt that there telling me off, but like you say they are communicating with me, and they trust me.ill try the ear scratching and chin scratching thing instead then i think! punky cum out his house today when i come up to the bars(his little house is right by the front bars, because he decided he doesnt want to be with drizzle!) and he put his nose right to my face-then he started biting the bars though-whether that was another warning I'm not sure! oh and drizzle the quiet one loves playing my jack russel up when hes in his run he keeps running around and hiding in his house and then popping out again!my jack russel goes barmy-and drizzle knows it! hehe.gemx

Sounds like they're really getting used to you now love x)x)
Don't worry about the toofie chattering tho, it's their language and they're just letting you know! after awhile you'll find they'll do it for all sorts of diff things. We had a little boy who'd do that when he wanted food, but it was softer, the louder chattering was when he was not happy about something..........so time and getting used to them is all it takes :)
ROFL @ Drizzle and stirring up the Jack Russell :(|):(|) yup sounds like a cheeky little piggie to me x)
