My little missies (6 weeks) didnt seem to be interested in the food i had bought so have been and bought them the Gerty Guinea Pig complete museli just hope they like it :)

Muesli is not as good as pellets as it encourages selected feeding. It also has a lot of additives which you can see by the bright colours. I use Burgess Excell pellets and my gang love them.

Poppy was on Gerty Guinea pig when I got her and I was not impressed with the colourings! :@ I eventually changed her to Burgess Excel Nuggets because a) pellets stop selective feeding b) don't contain nuts and seeds like most muesli and c) there aren't any colourings.
Other good foods include science selective or Oxbow. If you want something more tempting for them, I recommend Burgess Excel Nuggets with blackcurrent and oregano. Some people say that their pigs go crazy for it. :D xx

i used gerty guinea at first and didn't like the colours (eventually the price was unpalatable as well)

moved onto pets at home, which the piggies weren't a fan of, then onto wagg crunch, which my herd love, any colours they use are completely natural too, which is a bonus, but not ideal.

it probably is better to feed a pellet rather than a muesli, as with the muesli's it's difficult to avoid selective feeding (unless you're really mean like me and refuse to re-fill the bowl if it's not completely empty :(|) )

My guinea pigs have a bowl of Wagg guinea pig crunch (which in my opinion is a good muesli) and a bowl of nuggets ranging from burgess excel (plain, mint and oregano, cranberry and blackcurrent), pets at home nuggets, science selective nuggets and I have just brought them a bag of Harringtons nuggets to try as they seem to get board with one particular brand of nuggets so I try and vary it.

I am not a fan of gerty myself due to the bright colourings and additives but everyone is different.

Have you tried Burgess Excel Blackcurrent & Oregano pellets?

They are small, and smell lovely.

My piggles love them & won't touch any other pellets...

In fact when I got Billy 3 weeks ago I put some of his usual food in with the pellets (Science Select or something it was) just to wean him off it & he completely just ignored it & scoffed the excel xx>>>

mine get a mix of science select and burgess Oregano and blackcurrant they love both foods especially the blackcurrant and oregano drool
