why are men such arses sometimes?? :tickedoff:, this is what i do in a day, i dont work at the moment (but dont claim any benefits as we live on oh wages ) i get up and my 14 month old up, give him his brekkie, bath etc and get myself ready. i brush my house through and vac the pile up. i have laminate flooring so no matter how many times i sweep it looks like i havn't done it (if you know what i mean :-\), i wash up etc etc at the same time as owen climbing on the chairs and trying to jump off( but as he is quite young still just rolls/falls off etc, so some days i might miss the washing up etc and do it when oh comes back at 3. now in my oppinion my oh doesn't do a lot in his work (he drives and delivers sandwiches etc to buisnesses and fill 2 vending machines up) so once maybe twice a week i go to bingo with my mom and sisters. WELL last night i did go and when i came back he was in a right mood which i thought was because owen wouldn't go to sleep so i told him not to take it out on me, only for him to sayi put him in the mood by talking to people on here :'(. i think he thinks its full of blokes talking about guineas to get you onside, saying i could be talking to anyone. it really pi##ed me off and i went to bed, i know you lot are all nice and friendly and i'm not going to stop coming on here, but what do i do or say to him to make him feel a bit more comfortable?

any suggestions greatly accepted :(

mmmmm sounds familiar, Men never grow up do they.
I have the same thing with my oh,He moans about me talking on the forum, he thinks it's crazy to talk about guinea pigs WHATEVER.

I don't work, but have done in the past, to be honest home is where I want to be, I don't have to go out to work as the oh is on a very good wage,When i was at work i just wanted to be at home doin the housework, I would go to work and then come home and battle to get all my jobs done.My youngest is 6 and although she is at school all day now I find I have plenty to do.I'd rather be at home doing the motherly role.

My OH does some stuff around the house, he does the diy and cooks and washes up, makes the teas/coffees, but as a rule doesn't do any housework(although he did once upon a time) I don't expect him to as he's out at work (although he should when he is on holiday, when do i get mine?)

I think your OH is sufffering what my OH suffers from, Correct me if you think I'm wrong, but he may be feeling rejected,
Gaz is always moaning that I have no time for him,eg: kids, dogs, Housework, Guinea pigs, Forum,, and he really feels like I have no time for him.

I have found lately that if I am extra nice and pay him attention (as much as possible) he doesn't mind what I do, He will go with the flow. I really think he is only being an arse because he wants your attention (why can't they just tell us these things)

Why are men soooooo much work, they are quite selfish aren't they.
Do you think I could be right?
X Paula

i think you could be :) he takes the bins out and sometimes washes up, on a sat morning he mops the living room so he doesn't do that much really, it just annoys me and gets me down, i am trying for another baby as dont want owen to be an only child and dont want a big age gap but now I'm wondering if i want another one yet 98)

about him thinking you are chatting to guys on the forum - have him have a look through the Slave Gallery, so he can see that 98 percent of the people on this forum really are women? if he is so jealous maybe that might help a bit?

men need so much attention, i don't think women in general are like that.

My OH goes on a different forum about piggies and one about fishing (ergh dont ask) so he cant really talk!

I dont think its really you coming on here he has a problem with, he just doesnt have you doting and hovering around him looking for attention as you have something better to do!

Andy makes comments to the dog ( ;D ) like 'mummy doesnt love us, she loves the computer more' ::) Its meant as a joke but I think deep down he kinda means it!

I would just ignore him, whatever you say he will just come up with another arguement as its clearly his 'hormones' ;D ;D ;D ;D

lol prob true ;D

Gosh SNAP my hubby is exactly the same! ::) He spend loads and loads of time on the computer moans that I dont know how to use one then I get on here and learn loads of stuff and start spending alittle me time on here and he moans and moans that he doesnt see me and I am always on here and that i am addicted to piggies (which I am) god its like I can do nothing right ! >:(

all soooo familiar, my oh used to spend hours on ebay and i mean hours, But of course it's ok for them to do it isn't it.aggghhhhhh I'm always getting hounded by everyone to get off the computer.
I get lots of snyde remarks too, infact all the time, like you don't love me anymore----- bla bla bla

I even got back in the driving seat after passing my driving test nearly three years ago! I lost my confidence and just stopped, hubby was not the best confidence booster and then I got my piggies and wanted to get them stuff so started driving again he has been desperate for me to start driving and now all he does is moan about it !

i have to say..as my OH works with pc`s..and runs webhosting company from home..he is glad i come on here as it stops me moaning he is on his so much..:-)))...i ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D O0

OMG I am so lucky MIck my hubby doesn't mind me being on here he is so laid back , he often cuddles me while I'm on here and reads whats going on over my shoulder so knows what its all about and we often chat about whats going on here and as Carrie anne our daughter is occasionally on here he is perfectly fine about it , he thinks its great my experience can help others ,
hes the one who picks up my hugh sacks of pig food every 2 weeks gets me fresh veggies while he out working ( hes a driving instructor) he never moans about vet bills just shrugs and says well you can hardly let them suffer ,
maybe being together so long makes us more comfortable in each other and trust each other I haven't got a jealous bone in my body in fact I hate jealousy Mick can be a little but then I do have a framed pic of Richie Sambora in my living room , his attitude I can do what ever makes me happy ,
he does the diy gardening and often hoovers up for me as well as loading and unloading the dishwasher does the bins and occasionally cooks, he has said jokingly if he wore a fluffy suit would I pay him more attention ahhhhhhh I think you become like us after years of being together you work out life is too short for arguments and being jealous,
why not suggest your OH comes on here and finds out about us and what we talk about , and I agree it sounds like the time you spend on here he thinks you should be spending doting on him

Now Michelle we all know how lovely your Mick is, we just want him for ourselves :-* ;D ;D
I do say my Allan is great, honestly most of the time, but he's been rather jealous of me being on the forum ::) well he'll just have to learn. He'll be fine it'll just take him awhile.
Today i got a lovely postcard from Lucinda :smitten: and Allan saw it and said who's this from cause he only saw the piccie, i said Lucinda and go ahead read it. LOL he started in an american accent whilst reading it.... DUH.... i said honey she's from the UK ::) he was being funny.... men..... anyways he read it and said, well you should send her and your other friends there some cards - YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY good idea O0 gimme addies everyone O0

Dawn i can see where you're coming from tho, it's hard sometimes for them to understand that you need your friends and your independance i hope he can see that we're just friendly folks that love to chat, well about all things piggie and of course life as it is :)

Must admit my OH doesn't care that I come on here as he goes in his own forums anyway :) Men are like children though - they want constant attention and get upset if for 10 minutes you aren't faffing round them, looking after them! hehe bless!

If I were you I'd let your OH read the forum, especially the bits when we talk about men and our OH's - he'd defiantly realise we're women then! hehe I also think its a whole protection thing as well - they like to think that they protect us and keep us from harm - I'm sure once you let him on here he'd see we're just all girlie's! :D

xx

michellemuffin, my oh did dress up in a furry costume once a pink rabbit outfit, he greeted me at the front door in it, thought he'd get more attention, i wasn't impressed. bloody fool

LOL, I think if my OH did that I'd find it really funny! (dressing as a bun that is)Chris doesn't really mind me coming on here, although he can whinge abit if I go into 'turn off' mode, when I don't hear a thing that is being said to me ;D

I've found that making sure kids are in bed etc is the best time to come on, OH is usually engrossed in some kind of sport or other my then and I'm free to do what I want. I do think it's a bit silly of your OH to get miffed with you. Why don't you get him to do your whole days chores one day, starting with getting baby up, feeding, bathing etc and then a whole days house work, meal cooking and other crisis' that you get to deal with on a daily basis? He'll soon realise that you coming on the form for a bit is good for you after a hard day?

I class coming on the forum as ME time which all us girls need , I love the idea of opening the door to a big pink rabbit I'll have to tell Mick hes been beaten to it , what a great hubby to do that ,

the parrot is squarking for me sounds as if I am not giving him enough attention ;D

Wouldn't any girl love the idea of opening the door to a 'big pink rabbit'.............?

Or is it just me and my dirty mind ;D
