My male "Phoenix" is about 5 months now and has always been a lovely thing...typical Abyssinian with a big personality, and extremely cheeky.
However, the past week or so he has started nipping me...it doesn't hurt, but I feel his nashers round my fingers or hands sometimes, and when I pick him up he moves to try and nip me but I'm too clever for him to get me. I've also noticed when I put my hands in his cage for whatever reason, feeding, cleaning or (in particular) stroking him, he does that purring noise and shakes his hole body (but doesn't sway it). I've been tapping him and blowing in his face and he does stop, but only for a short time.
Could it be because he's starting to feel randy as he's right in front of my two girls, so can smell and see them?
