Has anyone used this cage?

The minimum size recommendation for 2 guinea pigs is 4' x 2' in which case I think that cage is a bit small. (I'm not very good with measurements at all so definitely get a second opinion in case my calculations are out).

Thanks! You're right about it being small--I just found a good cage in a larger size. :)) I'll be getting that one instead.

What cage did you find? Most pet store cages are too small, except the Midwest Expandable Guinea Habitat.

Have you seen this site? Since you're in the states, it would be pretty easy to find supplies to make the cage.

I found coroplast from here. They have warehouses all over US.

Got my grids from Bed Bath and Beyond.

You can also get coroplast from sign stores, grids from Kmart, Walmart, Costco (seasonal), Amazon.

I agree with lissie. If you can build a c+c cage they are really ideal! Plus you can make them the size/shape you want so can fit into whatever space you need it to. I don't know what the prices are like for the materials in the US, but in the UK it works out so much cheaper to make a 'cage' yourself. Much better value for money and piggies love them!

My first cage was only $23. I got coro for $10, and grids for $13. (That was in 2009)

Sabic now sells coro for $15 for a 4x8 feet sheet.
A box of grids at Bed Bath and Beyond is now $19.

Bed Bath and Beyond offers 20% off coupon if you sign up for their online newsletter).

C&C is very economical, unless you get addicted to cage building/remodeling like me. :D

Thank you all for your help. :) This

was the cage that I was considering. I've never heard of C and C cages before, but they look really great! :o

I think that looks fab! Such a good idea, you don't get anything like that in the UK. Looks just like a C+C but you don't have the hassle of sourcing materials and making it yourself.

TaraJets makes a valid point about your cat though! Open top might be a bit risky unless the pigs will be in a completely cat-free zone. You can just never trust cats to behave themselves! :))

Midwest cage also has a lid.
