I have some old ( but new ) oil cloth left over that i won't be using for sewing anymore. At the moment I cover my Correx with fleece along the tops etc so they can't chew it... This is a pain to keep changing so I was thinking of using the oil cloth as it is wipeable, I can spray it clean and wipe it over and hairs won't stick to it !

Any thoughts as to this being ok ?

Thanks....

The stuff used as table cloths? I was gunna do this at one point too, but unless you clean the cloth every hour the mat is gunna be soaked in pee puddles which the pigs will walk through and can give them urine scalds. So I decided against it. I'd have loved that too, cause getting the hair and hay off the fleece is a pure pain in the neck isn't it. :/

yes, what is used for table cloths.... but the oil cloth would only be on the edge of Correx.. not on the bottom of the C&C cage... - i have fleece liners .. they wouldn't wee on it at all unless they decided to spray lol which i have not seen them do !

Do you mean the same as I do, like that below?
I assumed they would just chew through the cloth the same as they do with the corex if I don't cover it with fleece and peg it. If you do try it, gimmie a shout and tell me how you got on. I'm dying to buy some of that fancy cloth from the range and cover the corex with it because getting a bit of a mess now.IMG_20150819_225406.webp

Yes... Just on all the edges etc.... Just thought be easier than the fleece which just a pain to keep changing... The liners are easy, the rest is fiddly lol... Will prob do it at the weekend when have more time but will let you know.... Hopefully they won't eat it ! X

Yeah, its a pain in the a. I have to climb right in the cage to tuck all the corners with the pigs in my way "helping" and biting my toes. And gives you double the washing this way lol. Good luck! I really hope it works, I'm quite sceptical so you have to prove me wrong so I can go get that polkadot one I want. Haha x

I now have back ache after taking all the fleece off the Correx and replacing it with oil cloth .... I just hope they don't chew it but have tucked all the edges and corners in.... I didn't have enough of one so used all 3 designs...
