I am thinking about switching to this because i am currently using the wood shaving kind and i cant stand the smell at all. I tried fleese and didnt like it. So i was just wondering if anyones tried this kind? (I'm kinda worried on if my piggys will eat the paper)

I did use this for My hamsters but it was quite expensive.

Awesome i dont mind the extra cost. ( Or at least right now i dont we will see aftera couple of weeks of using it if its worth it lol) its just the wood bedding all has a smell that gives me a head ache (i am really sensitive to smells) I did not like the fleese so it seemed like this was my last option . i was just hoping to get some feed back on whether it was good or not . So thank you guys for answering my question :):)

You could try having litter trays right next to the hay as that is where they tend to poop and pee but I haven’t heard of a fully litter trained guinea pig before

If you're going to use Carefresh, I'd try the Carefresh Natural. It comes in much larger packs than the multicoloured stuff (60 litres), honestly it was one of my favourite beddings to use.

My piggies were potty trained for quite a while until I moved them outside. I'd really recommend a bedding like paper chip. The carefresh is better for small rodents like mice or hamsters because it is expensive and doesn't have much of an odor control. This is what paper chip looks like:

It is sold at most pet stores in my area and is relatively cheap. It's very absorbent too. I use it in my rabbits litter box and it never smells.

I use them all the time for my hamsters. I have 6 hamsters and all of them use those bedding. They do come in all different colors. I get regular shipment of those bedding delivered to my house.

My two guinea pigs Finn and Lara use fleece liners, fleece pee pads, and puppy pee pads. Mine use their hay pan as their bathrooms so there is minimum pee and poo on their fleece beddings. I feel like they are potty trained, which makes cleaning much easier.

i've noticed most of the poo by the hay but they spray(pee) everywhere lol so i have to change the bedding quite often. :)

They look like pellets what is the feel ? (softer or hard)

Can you get aubiose where you are? That is very good. I have tried that in my hutch and found it very absorbent and it didn't smell. I am very sensitive to smells. I am so bad in fact that I can't stand next to someone wearing certain perfumes for too long or else my nose starts bleeding. :yikes:

I havent seen that here but i can ask the lady at the pet store if they have it. I am like you though i dont get nose bleeds strong smells cause an insane migraine. (or at least what is strong smelling to me other people dont think so) but yes i am extremely sensitive to smells.

I have never found anyone before who is so sensitive to smells like me. I can't go in a shop that has anything scented in it either ( think Yankee candles) cos otherwise after a few minutes I start to feel and act drunk cos of the smell and my head goes all muzzy and I have to get out into the fresh air. Boux Avenue has perfume in there somewhere and I can't go in. When the shop first opened I took one step inside and went straight back out again. My friend couldn't smell anything.

lol we are the same person. my husband thinks I'm weird lol because he doesnt smell what i smell half the time.

Yes, they look just like food pellets. They are hard but when they are exposed to moisture (pee) they kind of puff up.

ok thank you i have been looking online to order some and i havent found the exact match but i found a couple of similar products :)
