Hi

Has anyone tiled their wooden hutch floor with ceramic tiles? (not those sticky plastic things) I was thinking that it would be very easy to clean if I got hold of some floor tiles and tiled the bottom and say, 10 cm, up the sides. I could use rough-surfaced tiles so they would not be too slippy and even put fleece on when it was cold etc.

My concerns are:
The expense if it does not work.
Would the grout look awful from urine stains?
Would they come off if the wood got wet?
Would it withstand the use of a pressure washer?

Has anyone ever tried this?

Any thoughts gratefully accepted.

No but I did clean the cages today with a steam cleaner from Halfords, it was a bargain... I cleaned them so much faster too...

No not ceramic but it guessing it would be good as we tiled all four of our hutches with lino tiles from pound dhop and its make cleaning time 1000 times easier.

Sounds interesting. I am guessing it would kill off any little beasties too.

Does the wee get in the gaps between the tiles? I was also worried that the edges would peel up. Does this happen?
