that cage on zooplus.com.its three tier cage, i think its about hundred and fifty three pound. I'm thinking of getting this with my birthday money on the seventeenth of november(i sound like I'm about twelve-I'm actually nearly twenty six lol). has anyone got this? or does anyone know if it will be okay for two piggies?(i dont know how to post a link) are zooplus.com reliable and good at delivering e.t.c? because I'm a bit dodgy about buying things off the internet unless its argos!haha.gemx:):);)

Zooplus are good at delivering - takes about 5 days.

As for the cage can you post a photo or a link? I know there is one where the ramps are a bit steep and aren't enclosed so they could fall off. Its not a no it just needs some work to make it safe and easier to use.

I was looking into getting the 2 level one but after chatting to some people on this site, they gave me some good advise..which is there is always a risk that your piggies could fall off the ramp and really hurt themselves. or that some piggies just dont like to climb and wont use the cage in they way you intended them to use it...which is a waste of money for your and of course less cage space for them if they will only stay on one level!

Sorry don't mean to be a party pooper but I think you should hear information and then make your own judgement on this..

Keep us informed!

thanks everyone, well ive brought them in from there outside hutch for the winter see, and they had two levels in there, and had no problem running up and down, thats why I'm considering this one, because i feel so guilty cuz theyve theoretically moved from a nice big house to a studio flat!lol. my partner would easily sort those steps out, because he built the ladders for the second tier in the outside hutch, and made them safe, so i have no worries about that. its just if I'm keeping them outside once the weather gets better again, is it worth forking out that much just for a couple of months? there cage now is to small, i know it is, but I'm trying my best honestly, trying to keep them warm!gemx

Do you mean this one? http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/guinea_pig_cages/137454 ?

If you can adapt the ramps and your piggies use them so they do use all three floors, I think that it is a great idea! I would like to know how people have got on with these because they are such a space saving option. I'm not sure mine would go up the ramps though.

I think if you bring them in over the winter, then you may not want to take them outside again! So £150 isn't a bad price to pay. Besides if you do take them back outside when the weather picks up, it wouldn't just be for a couple of months, it would be a couple of months each year that the cage gets used.

It's a great cage, and you'd have them inside for more than just a couple of months anyway. But I notice the reviews are all for degus and ferrets - piggies can be plump little animals, and my only concern is that the opening at the top of the ramps might not be big enough for g.pigs, as the "blurb" only says rodents, and doesn't specify size. I did once see a wonderful cage, also 3 tier, but it was obviously for rats, as the gaps were only small. You could check it out anyway - even if you order online, I'm sure there's a phone helpline you could speak to them about it.

We put an extra level in our single level 5ft hutch and just made sure that the ramp was not steep and had a barrier to stop them from falling off the side (the other side was up against the wall of the hutch). We had to teach them to use the ramp, but they soon got the hang of it, and are up and down it all the time when they're not in their run during the day. It was really easy to do, nearly doubles the surface area of the hutch - which meant we didn't have to buy a new one - and they like hiding under the ramp.

what you need to do is attatch some kind of side to the ramps so your piggies don't fall off the side. my piggies are fine going up ramps, but can't go down!
