I seem to have some weird and wonderful allergies myself.

I've been allergic to penicillin since I was a baby.

Then as a teenager I became sensitive to many brands of make-up and some toiletries (making my skin sore and eyes sting). I also seemed to be allergic to a friend's dog (sneezy).

Then I developed hayfever / perennial rhinitis (runny nose) and an allergy to cats (sneezy and tight-chested). Some time later I was diagnosed with asthma which is now under good control with inhalers. The inhalers and continued exposure to pollen seems to have "cured" the hayfever (just as well since I'm a gardener), but the cat allergy remains.

All pretty common stuff. But then came banana allergy (my lips and mouth swelling up and becoming itchy on contact). Just the smell of them sets my on edge now. And certain disinfectants, watch straps, natural vanilla, etc.,etc, etc.

The worst is when some bottles of wine make me sneeze. :(

Thank goodness I'm not allergic to guinea pigs and chocolate. ;D

I don't really have any allergies but recently I have been flaring up with eczma when I come out of the shower. It gets worse when I start using the hair-drier though so the hot hair is obviously making it worse. Today I decided to have a shower at my mum's to see if I flare up with it and I didn't.. :-\ She doesn't live very far away so it sounds like it could be the water at mine? - I have no idea!

Did you use the same toiletries / soap / shower gel / shampoo?

the drummer from Rammstein who I know is allergic to guinea pigs but still wants to see mine, lol

Yes, which is just so weird... I usually don't flare up with eczema but in the past couple of months I have. It also flares up in the exact same places everytime!

mine used to be really bad when I had a bath in bubble bath, now it just starts now and again if I wear something thats new and hasnt been washed

I'm allergic to egg white and cashew nuts and intollerant to dairy and bananas! Part of the reason I'm vegan as well as the ethical side.

I'm also allergic to some cats, get hayfever too...

We only use ecover cruelty free washing and cleaning stuff too so i always itch if i stay in hotels where they use biological stuff ::)

I also have really bad eczma, i use oilatum cream and bath oil and it helps me loads, acuaous cream is good too, i get it all over my body and its so painful.

My ones are chocolate, cheese and Chinese food. They give me headaches and sometimes migraine. It doesn't stop me eating them though. While there are painkillers in my house I will never stop eating them ;D

my daughter and hubbys allergic to pencillian and I have to use a nose spray for an allergic reaction that makes it drip down the back of my throat ( i think its hay biut wont admit to it) I use to be allergic to feathers when young but grew out of it , just as well we've had our parrot for nearly 28 years and kept doves and an aviery, blackcurrant both berries and drink brings me up in a rash on my arms and certain hairy caterpillers do the same.

The only time I have ever developed an allergy was when I tried an "own brand" washing powder that my sister recommended.
One morning I put on a pair of knicks that had been washed in it...and went out. The itching within10 minutes...and of course I could hardly scratch ::) Long enough for me to walk into town :o
It was horrendous and I also came up in lumps, I had to come home and have a bath in cool water. An antihistamine worked, but of course I had to wash all my clothes that had been subjected to the powder.

Well, I'm a coeliac.

Also penicillin and sticking plaster.

Some years ago I developed terrible contact dermatitis on my hands. I had forty patch tests done and we never found the cause. I couldn't use either hand for weeks. But I am now ambidextrous - had to learn! In the end two courses of phototherapy cleared it up - after living with it for about 4 years.

I don't eat peanuts as once I developed mouth blisters and swollen airway and I have antihistamines, just in case.
