Happy Gotcha Day Emma (bittersweet)

Happy Gotcha day to my beautiful Emma.

I adopted her along with Erika back in 2013 from The Potteries GPR.

Sadly, we lost Erika at the end of 2015 to lymphoma :( but Emma is enjoying life with Ellen and neutered boar, Edward.

They were at least a year old when adopted so Emma is at least 5 years old although we suspect she is older.

Today is a bittersweet day as we are anxiously waiting for the results of a fine needle biopsy after I found a lump on her on Tuesday :( I have written a seperate thread for that in H&I

But Emma deserves to celebrate and enjoy her special day.

I still remember coming up by train to meet you in Stoke-on-Trent and help you with the bonding - which was one of the easiest ever! The quartet settled like they had been together forever, with Emma gently taking charge of your old lady Eliza and young Enoch!

It was a rather memorable day for me as my hub had to drive me directly to the station from the out-of-hours vets where I had to pts my own Ffowlyn after I found her with far too advanced bloat in the morning.

Hard to believe that it is already four years and that Emma is now an older lady herself!

That was such a bittersweet day for us both but I will always be grateful that you were able to make Eliza a happy piggy again after her losses especially when you were coming under such sad circumstances yourself.

I miss them all so much xx

You never stop missing your beloved ones, but you can cherish the time you had them in your life! Eliza lived to a grand old age, but pets have sadly much shorter lives than us.

I'm so sorry to hear this. :( Hugs to you and Emma. Memories are our treasures, and I know you have plenty of sweet little Emma to keep forever.
 
You have to believe that Emma will still be here next year, lots of piggies have gone way beyond expectations. Look at Fudge, she's been close to death several times. Then she bounces around as she is 2.
Animals pick up on people's moods so give her lots of love which you are probably are doing anyway.Try not to worry Claire W take everyday as it comes. Hugs coming your way.

Thank you. I am treating everyday as it comes. Emma has had a lovely afternoon outside in the run with her friends x
